We are currently seeking a landscape designer to join our growing team. We primarily work on residential projects of various sizes.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Design Manager:

• Assist in all design related activities
• Site inventory & analysis & preparation of baseplans
• Develop conceptual landscape plans & renderings
• Preparation of planting plans, layout plans, lighting plans
• Productions of construction documentation including grading plans, details, and product specifications
• Meet deadlines for project stages
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time
• Create preliminary cost estimates for projects
• Conduct site visits during construction as required
• Assist in general office tasks as assigned
• Adopt company policies & procedures

Educational Requirements

• Minimum of a diploma in Landscape Design or related field

Experience Requirements

• Experience in a landscape design office considered an asset
• Experience in landscape construction considered an asset
• Basic Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and municipal bylaws
• Knowledge of construction techniques and basic knowledge of horticulture and plant needs

Desired Skills

• Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Office,
• 3D capable with Sketchup
• CAD - Vectorworks or similar
• Possess good time management skills – consistently meet deadlines
• Good communication skills, both verbal & written
• Hand drawing/sketching skills considered an asset
